onAIR
Well, the adobe onAIR tour was exciting. I think the technology is cool and there is definitely a lot that I can do with it. Alot of the things I would always complain about like access to the file IO are part of air and that makes me excited.

After the conference I started playing around with my own app. The language is pretty straight forward but it gets a little confusing when script bridging with the HTML component and Javascript object. I'm trying to walk the DOM out to a table and loop its properties back into flex but I'm having trouble. Something tells me that Flex's handling of the DOM is a lot different than my previous experience.

Anyways I'm sure I'll get it soon. I'm glad its Friday! I hope to have some time to work one on it over the weekend.


In other news... I have a new job. In addition to working for the T.V. station I'm now also the lighting designer at a local theatre. I've designed lights for this theatre in the past and while the monetary reward isn't much the personal enjoyment makes it well worth it. The first show I'm designing for is Snoopy and I'm excited to get working.

Anyways, must run back to work now! ... I'll post more later.
